Helene has had her disability since 2001 and starting rowing in summer 2005. She is presently the World Champion and World Record Holder for Women’s Arms Only Single Scull. Helene has a degree in Medical Biochemistry but has put her career in public health on hold while she is competing. Helene currently works part time for the Youth Sport Trust on the Sky Sports Living for Sports Programme. Using her story about her journey through sport, she works to inspire young people to have aims, aspirations & dream to achieve in life.
